As the global leader in building materials and solutions, we put our scale and expertise to work, helping as many people as possible to tackle the pandemic together.
2020 has been a critical year for all of our communities, where we stepped up our support during the COVID-19 crisis. Over the past five years, LafargeHolcim has invested more than CHF 216 million around the world in community projects.
Thriving with our communities is one of our sustainability pillars. This became critical in 2020, when we promoted a healthy and resilient response to the pandemic through our community initiatives.
We focused our efforts on helping the most disadvantaged populations first. This involved direct interventions to prevent new infections, such as supplying disinfectants and personal protective equipment, alongside mitigating hardships by supplying food and other forms of relief.
Helping communities during coronavirus
Building on our long tradition of working closely with our communities and promoting their health and well-being, our teams all around the world are mobilized to implement an extraordinary range of measures across the world to fight COVID-19.
Building a healthier world together
COVID-19 is changing how we live and how we work in many ways. As markets are gradually reopening around the world, we are ramping up our production to best support our customers and help the world economy recover as quickly as possible. We are doing this by putting sustainable construction at the heart of the recovery.
